The new year is only a couple of days away and that usually means after christmas blow-out sales. Today I thought I would post a link to one of my favorite technology sites that usually has the lowest prices on the best technology deals around.
The link above will take you to the year-end clearance sales at newegg.com, you wont find these kinds of deals on too many other websites. Newegg has been around for more than a decade and has always been a top-rated website for its products and service. So if you are looking for some great deals on a large variety of tech stuff than check this site out, but hurry as their offers do run out quick because of their popularity.
Make sure to visit web directories below for a great link building and seo website.

How to extend tv signal to other tv's
I had a friend ask me about how he could install a TV in his patio and be able to watch cable tv without having to pay for an additional box or for additional service. Being that I had done this before for some clients, I told him that the easiest way would be to by a signal extender (or tv signal amplifier, tv signal receiver etc.). So then he asked me if I had any recommendations and that is why I decided to write up this little piece with some of my recommendations. Most of these are very easy to install yourself and all would do a great job at allowing you to watch tv anywhere in the house feeding from a main tv/cable box.
#1 Choice: This one is ideal for all users. It transmits
up to 300 ft away at 900mhz or 24ghz. This is ideal for an outdoor TV that requires a standard tv signal (not HD).
#2 Choice: This one is ideal for most users. It transmits
up to 400 ft away at and allows transmission of various components or devices.
#3 Choice: This is a higher end unit because it is able to transmit in 1080P Full HD quality. This unit also has a Remote extender which means you do not need to get up and go to the originating signal in order to change the channel.
Please feel free to share this with everyone and drop me a line if you have any questions or need any recommendations.

Download of the week
I am going to try and start adding links to some excellent free software on a weekly basis. If you are looking for any specific software or just need some guidance, feel free to drop me a line.
I recently need a video player that would be able to play a multitude of video file types and after trying 5 different ones as well as the standards (wmp, real, corel, etc..) I found one and can honestly say it is my favorite video player of all time for so many reasons.
Either way check it out, it is absolutely free and I recommend everyone download it as it is very handy these days with the tons of different video types out there, this multiplayer is by far the best out there, and again it is 100% absolutely free.
The KMPLAYER is a free download from download.com, the most trusted download site in the whole world. While you are there check out the other thousands of programs and read the reviews before you download anything, make sure to check editor reviews as well as user reviews.

While looking for a battery replacement (and most other online purcases) I check several factors. No matter where you decide to buy online make sure to follow these 3 rules and you should get what you are looking for at the right price.
1- Make sure to read reviews about the company or seller you are purchasing from as well as reading reviews and details of the product you are buying. Most websites are very good at keeping all ratings, reviews and feedback without much bias so take into consideration all details you care about.
2- Check multiple online sites as well as manufacturers site to make sure what you are purchasing is the exact fix. This is a crucial step so having the part number or model number is needed.
Also make sure to Check the return policies of the seller or website to make sure that they allow you to return the item without any hassle in case something is wrong.

Best Value Laptops Under $600
I am always looking for good deals for my clients on all types of technology and digital items. This weekends project has been finding a very good laptop for less than $600. Although that might seem like a high amount, I believe that it is just right to get you high end laptops. This price range of computer may not have all the bells and whistles, but since most users do not even utilize some of these upgrades than it makes it an ideal choice to forgoe some of the following for great savings.
#3 Choice- This HP laptop is a great value in many ways. When you read the specs of the laptop you will see that it will meet most average users requirements and then some. And for less than $500 you are getting a very good quality laptop with more than adequate RAM and Processor speed.
#2 Choice- This is an excellent by mainly due to the great price on i currently. Although this price can jump up $100 very quickly, so if you see it for less than $450, pick one up, you won't be sorry. And with Dell's award winning tech support and customer service, I highly recommend this laptop. This bad boy comes with 4gb's of memory, Windows 7 64bit Premium, and an Athlon Dual Core processor.
#1 Choice-In my opinion, currently this is one of the best buys for the price and what you get in return. It has one of the newest processors (Intel Core i3 Processor), 4gbs of DDR3 memory, 500gb hard drive, 15.6 LED HD Display, and 64bit Windows 7 Premium.
Any of the above laptops are great deals to get both for novices as well as the average user. You will be able to email, browse the web, pictures, music, movies and much more without a problem. You can even do light graphics, gaming, and much more.
I even found this great deal under $600 for an Imac that is a 15 inch beauty. It has a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM , 250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm. Built-in iSight camera; mini-DVI output port with support for DVI, VGA, S-video, and composite video.

All in one desktop and monitor
Here is a great deal for an all in one computer. You ask what is an all in one computer? Well they have been around for quite a while and now are much more available & affordable. As with anything there are selling points as well as drawbacks, and to name a few of each:
Top 3 Reasons to consider for all in one desktop computers:
1- Ultimate space saver and cable eliminator. These systems are very space friendly and since the computer and monitor are built together you immediately get rid of the majority of cables.
2- You no longer lose leg space to the PC Case as it simply sits in your desk top.
3- Everything you need (for the most part) is all built into the single system so you no longer need seperate pieces, parts and cables.
3 Reasons to re-consider the all in one desktop computer:
1- Your options for upgrading hardware is fairly limited due to the build of these systems.
2- Potential hardware issues could lead to much more expensive repairs versus a traditional PC.
3- These systems are slightly limited with the amount of Memory and Processor power they can handle due to the slim design aspects, and they are also limited with Video processing so they are not ideal for big time gamers.
Of course there are other reasons to consider these systems on both ends. But overall they have come a long way and I feel that these systems will be in allot of homes due to the ease of use, compact design and overall value. Plus they are much more sleak and cable free compared to standard desktop and seperate moniotr systems that we are all used to.

Computer Memory Upgrade
A Memory upgrade is one of the easiest and most effective ways to improve the overall speed and performance of your computer. And these days with the price of memory being so low it is well worth the little bit of effort and investment as you will see clear results.
When any of my customers ask what can be done to speed up their computers, my first answer is to do a memory upgrade. Of course some computers already have the maximum memory allowed on their system, however a majority of them do not.
The process is very easy and almost anyone can do this on their own. Although there are a certain things you have to make sure to do and not do. So here is a quick how to guide for upgrading the memory of your computer. (this is pretty much the same whether you have a desktop or a laptop).
1- Find out the model and make of your computer and go to the manufacturers website.
Once you have done this, locate the System Hardware Specs of your computer and see how much System Memory it is able to handle.
(note, a very quick way to bypass the first two steps is to go to a site called Crucial.com
Get 5% off at Crucial). This will save you some time and leave the guesswork out. Once you go to this site you need to run the free memory scan tool which will tell you how much memory you currently have, how much you can upgrade it to, as well as tell you the speed and latency of your memory. They also sell memory modules at a very competitive price so you can just purchase it directly there as well.
2- Once you purchase the necessary memory and receive it. You will need to have your computer totaly unplugged and disconnect all cables and peripherals.
3- Make sure to touch a piece of metal to discharge any static electricty that you may have built up, then you open of the computer case, locate the memory modules, and install the new ones. (Sometimes you may need to take out the old memory modules and simply replace with the new ones, and other times you simply add them on top of the others that exist).
4- Then you close up the computer case and reconnect everything and power up the computer. Most Bioses will automatically detect the added memory and some will ask you to confirm at which point the system has properly identified the memory installation.
5- At this point your system will boot up and everything should run much faster and better. In some cases the memory may end up being either incompatible with your system or may even be faulty at which point you will notice your system acting wierd, shutting down on its own, or giving you errors. If this does occur, contact the vendor from which you purchased the memory from and they will provide you with replacement memory modules.
Again this is a simple process that anyone feeling comfortable with opening up a system can take on, however if you have any doubts or questions as to anything, feel free to drop me a line or an email and I would be more than happy to help you.
Also below are a couple of links to memory on some other sites, sometimes Amazon has them cheaper than anywhere else so it is worth looking around. If you need a specific type of memory at the lowest prices again you can always drop me a line and I will provide you with a link to the lowest prices on the net for Memory Upgrades.
Note: If you are upgrading the memory on a laptop, steps are similar, but make sure to take out the Battery of your laptop or it can end up damaging the memory or your motherboard. So again, when upgrading anything on a laptop, make sure to disconnect the battery and take it out....

Ipad vs Ipad2
A colossal battle is on the way between Apple and Apple. As most of you are aware, the IPAD2 made its debut a little bit more than a week ago and the hordes as always have already purchased their new Ipad2's. While there is already a long waiting list for those that were not there at ATT stores at 5pm on March 11th and other selected retailers (Apple Stores), the big question still at hand remains, is it really worth it to purchase the IPAD2 versus the old IPAD (less than 1 year old mind you).
Quick Answer, if you don't have an IPAD, purchase the 2nd generation if you have any intentions on using its robust video features, and multi processor capabilities. If you don't care for either, than I would say that the IPAD1 is more than a good buy, however if you have waited this long, I would say give it a couple of months and I would be shocked if they are not selling the 16gb wifi version for $300 or less.
The latest report on the IPAD2 shows that the cost from manufacturer is around $330, the rest of the markup pretty much goes into the hands of retailers that are carrying the ingenious devices. If you are looking to get the 3g service than obviously your only real choice is AT&T or Apple Store, and possibly Bestbuy.
Whichever way you look at it, the cost will be about double the manufacturer's cost which will put you out of $500+ for the 16gb version and up towards the $900 level for the 64gb 3g version. God it must be nice to have that much expendable income. Nevertheless, I am waiting for another price break drop which will surely happen, however for those that can afford to buy a great entertainment tool as well as a handy Internet machine that is very sleek, capable and portable than go at it and enjoy it.
You can buy from the link below at a discounted rate through our affiliate link to Bestbuy, and it is safer than buying it from some 3rd party store due to potential issues that you may have with it. The big box retailers are good for something, returning it if there is problem...

While looking for some electronics today I ran into this great deal on a 42inch 1080p LCD HDTV . The price is simply as low as it gets and the reviews on this LCD TV are very good. I highly recommend this product for someone that is on a budget.
